“The concert begins with Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations, a masterpiece composed between 1819 and 1823, followed by a series of recordings by Gustav Mahler, including his famous “Adagietto” from Symphony No. 5. The second part focuses on the music of the Beatles, with Horacio Lavandera performing iconic songs such as “Imagine,” “Yesterday,” and “Eleanor Rigby.” These landmark pieces in popular music are uniquely reinterpreted in the concert. Finally, a selection of songs by Gustavo Cerati, one of the greatest exponents of Argentine rock, whose melodies and lyrics continue to resonate in today’s musical landscape, is presented. This part of the concert pays tribute to his legacy, connecting classic rock with contemporary music in an emotional and vibrant way.”
