Sounds of the eternal:  Gustav Mahler – The Beatles – Gustavo Cerati”

Paul McCartney: “We’ve always loved Mahler, and he was a big influence on The Beatles’ music. John and I would sit for hours listening to Kindertotenlieder and Wunderhorn, taking turns singing and playing the piano. We thought Mahler was amazing.”

This concert will take us through the original pianola roll versions recorded by Gustav Mahler himself of his most iconic songs and passages from his symphonies, including the “Adagietto,” immortalized in Luchino Visconti’s film Death in Venice. These compositions will be linked to Horacio Lavandera’s interpretations of iconic songs by The Beatles members, such as Imagine, Yesterday, and Eleanor Rigby. To conclude, a selection of original versions by Gustavo Cerati, one of the greatest exponents of Argentine rock, will be presented.
